Preparing For Medical School

Successful completion of CASPer is mandatory in order to maintain admission eligiblity. Ranked 18th nationally in NIH dollars received, the school is best known for its research and treatment in infectious disease, neurosciences, heart disease, cancer, transplantation, orthopaedics, pediatrics, renal disease, ophthalmology, and geriatrics.

You are in a somewhat different category – while you would be considered for most US medical schools (unlike international students) as a permanent resident in terms of citizenship, you still need to fulfill the pre-medical requirements and attend a US undergraduate school.

The hub for students of Medicine (MBBS), Dentistry (BDS), Nursing Science (B. Nursing), Medical Laboratory Science (B. MLS), Physiology, Physiotherapy, Pharmacology, Radiography, Pharmacy, Anatomy, Biochemistry, Microbiology and other Medical Allied Courses.

In fact, about half of all the medical schools in the US do not consider applications of other than US or Canadian citizens at all (see which medical schools accept international applicants ). If snorting your own father’s remains in a drug-induced stupor isn’t what medical school is all about, then…umm…actually that’s just really fucked up. But after all, that right there is about as ridiculous as anything I’ve experienced these last four years, and if there’s one thing that sticks out about medical school, it’s the sheer ridiculousness of the whole process (for examples, see…the rest of this website).
